CONNSACS Annual Meeting & Breakfast brings together over 100 advocates, community partners, allies and lawmakers to take stock in our work to end sexual violence, and to honor individuals who make a difference in the lives of victims and survivors.

This year our guest speaker will be Terri Poore, Policy Consultant to the  National Alliance to End Sexual Violence. Terri has been a leading voice in Washington, advancing the rights of sexual assault victims and advocating for vital funding to support services and prevention programs. She  will highlight the state and national efforts that are changing the way communities and institutions respond to sexual violence.
 
We will also  present the National Sexual  Violence Resource Center Visionary Voice Award to CONNSACS Victim Advocate Leah Prescott- Burgess and announce the winner of the Gail Burn-Smith  2015 Dare to Dream Scholarship.

CONNSACS is the coalition of Connecticut's nine community based sexual assault crisis service programs. Our mission is to  end sexual violence and ensure high quality, comprehensive and culturally-competent sexual assault victim services.

Terri Poore

  

Terri Poore has worked with the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence for 10 years, first as a board member and now as a policy consultant. She is also a technical assistance provider with the National Sexual Assault Coalition Resource Sharing Project, specializing in the Sexual Assault Services Program.
