WRITING POETRY IN THE GARDEN
Wednesday, June 27 and Wednesday, July 25
2:00-3:30 p.m. 

 

Gather at the Museum's inspiring Morgan Japanese Garden for a writing workshop with poet and faculty member Peter Fortunato. Through viewing the garden and "mindful sitting," learn to cultivate "beginner's mind," the relaxed state of openness that supports our natural creativity. No prior experience necessary, just bring your favorite handwriting tools and enthusiasm!

 

$10 per session (attendance at both sessions is NOT required).

Please call 607-255-6464 to register for the June 27 session by Wednesday, June 20. To register for the July 25 session, please call  by Wednesday, July 18.

To celebrate the 60th Reunion of Class of 1952, this exhibition explores the importance of the train to the Cornell student experience in the first half of the 20th century. See art and memorabilia from the Museum's collection, Cornell's Kroch Library, and the History Center in Tompkins County.

Every two years the Johnson Museum invites members of Cornell's Department of Art to participate in a faculty exhibition featuring recent work.
Memory and the Photographic Image

Memory plays a role in a photographer's choice of subject and its interpretation, creating images that could become the only record of a moment passed. But photographs can be manipulated, so is this record truthful? This exhibition looks at the ways artists translate personal memories onto film.
