NOTE: Waiting list now for two of our programs, see below for details.
The new year and a new term is the best time to join a new group.
Please share this information, so that as many clients as possible have the opportunity to be part of these fantastic free arts programs, offered by the School of Hard Knocks, Queensland.
The School of Hard Knocks is created on the model of the Choir of Hard Knocks by Founder and Artistic Director,
Hosted by our much-loved musician, singer and conductor, Melissa Gill - new members will become part of a lovely group who
enjoy singing and performing together.
Melissa's rehearsals are fun and interactive, with new skills being taught throughout the year. Opportunities to perform at exciting events in major Brisbane venues are always on the cards.
Bonus! Enjoy a free and healthy lunch together after rehearsal.
In our Music Theatre workshops, participants learn stage craft, singing, movement and drama. They are involved in the development and direction of the work each term.
With the wonderful performer and singer Jacqui Cuny at the helm this group is already fully booked for Term 1 of 2017.
However, if interested, please complete an application form online, and we'll add you to a waiting list.
This dynamic group deliver fantastic performances and learn new skills along the way.

The popular and talented teacher David Stavanger returns in 2017 and we are delighted to be partnering with the State Library of Queensland for these workshops.
Participants will be guided and encouraged to put pen to paper in new ways. Each weekly workshop takes on a life of its own, dependent on the class and its participants - however always under David's guiding hand as he sets term goals and challenges along the way.
Creative Writing is a smaller group and is also already booked out for Term 1. Register now to be added to a waiting list, as places do sometimes come up as people change their mind, or their circumstances change.
All programs are held in a supportive and friendly environment. Prior registration is required.
