Best Practices in Public School Speech-Language Pathology

You are receiving this email message because you are registered for the Best Practices in Public School Speech- Language Pathology Conference scheduled for March 8-9, 2018 at the Cobb Galleria. Go to www.cobbgalleria.com for directions and other venue information.

WI-FI

All conference participants will have WIFI access during the conference. This will allow you to use the Conference APP that all participants should download. We will NOT be distributing a flash drive. And in order to accommodate the number of participants who have selected some of the more popular sessions, not all sessions will have tables. **TIP: We suggest you download your handouts and save them to your device or print them ahead of time. Download speeds are not high at any conference center.

BADGES

You will pick up your badge upon arrival at the conference. Badge Pick-up will begin at 7:00 AM on Thursday morning. You must pick up your badge prior to entering a session as the badge contains a bar code which will be scanned at the door. The scanner will record the exact time that you enter the room so make sure you get there early enough to get full credit for the session. If you leave a session early and are not returning, you will be scanned out - therefore you will only receive partial ASHA credit.

You will NOT receive an ASHA CEU packet at the Conference. Instead, at the conclusion of the conference you will go to http://mtsreport.com/gosslp/18/ and login to REVIEW and CONFIRM the sessions that you attended.

SCHEDULE

There have been several changes to the schedule. The most up-to-date schedule can be found in the APP. **NOTE: If you registered for Ethics, it will ONLY be available in the morning on Friday, 3/9 - PACE has been added to the afternoon instead. Language & Literacy switched to Thursday and Social Thinking switched to Friday.

PARKING

The Galleria now has gated parking. You will need to take a ticket when you arrive each morning. Do not lose this ticket! We suggest keeping them in your name badge holder. A second validation ticket will be provided to you at the GO SSLP table. You will need both tickets to exit. If you lose your validation ticket, you will be required to pay.

THURSDAY RECEPTION

GO SSLP is hosting a reception for attendees, speakers, honorees, and vendors from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday afternoon in Room 104 of the Galleria. Enjoy hors' d'oeuvres and a cash bar while you network with your colleagues and the speakers in an informal atmosphere. We will conduct a membership meeting at the reception in which we will review legislative action as well as introduce our Exemplary SLP Award winner and Honors of the Organization Award winner.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Pick up your conference badge on Thursday or Friday 7:00 AM
Wear your conference badge at all times in order to get scanned in to each session
Get to each session on time in order to receive full credit for the session (and stay for the entire session to get credit - attendees leaving early will be scanned out)
Keep your badge at the end of the conference. You will be asked for the badge number when verifying your attendance and completing the evaluation.
