BUILDING RE-TUNING (BRT)
Smarter Use of Your Existing Building Controls System

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
____________________________

Building Re-tuning (BRT), originally developed by the Pacific Northwest National Lab, is a procedure for energy monitoring and optimization to improve building performance.  Using operational data from BMS/BAS trend logs to diagnose and correct energy waste and deficiencies, BRT emphasizes low-cost and no-cost operational improvements which are mostly implemented through the building controls system, along with low-cost repairs such as replacing faulty sensors.

The BRT training is a new 15-hour course offered exclusively through the CUNY Building Performance Lab and is aimed at advanced building O&M professionals, facility managers, and energy service providers.  The course walks participants through the implementation of an actual re-tuning process in the participants' facilities, with corresponding weekly assignments.  It is designed to impart the skills and know-how for conducting the re-tuning process on a regular basis for incorporation into ongoing monitoring and maintenance.

NEW!  Earn continuing education towards credential/license renewal requirements - the BRT course has been approved for:

  • 15 Professional Development Hours (for PEs)
  • 15 GBCI Continuing Education credits (for LEED APs)
  • 15 CPD points (BOMI International professional designations).

For those who may be undecided about whether the training will be a good fit for your needs, and/or may wish to get further information, stay tuned for an upcoming BRT info session in June - this will be a live, 1-hour online session in which you will have the opportunity to learn more, talk with our instructors and BRT program director, ask questions, etc.
