Join us for a free group full moon meditation/manifestation with Tiann and an essential oils 101 class with Kym!

We start in meditation, releasing that which no longer serves us, getting ready to welcome Spring, and then we will dive into the healing world of doTerra essential oils.

We will be learning about uses for oils, the amazing benefits, safety concerns, and how you can take charge of your health.

Everyone will receive a handmade essential oil yoga mat spray and there will be wine and appetizers served.

We hope to see you then for a beautiful evening at Rise!

STUDENT OF THE MONTH
MICHELE THARP
In her own words:

Born and raised in Schenectady, New York, I've lived in Southern California most of my life.  I am married to Edd, and our Huntington Beach household contains 3 rescue dogs and a few granddaughters on Thursdays. It is a mandatory ritual to "play Yoga" on Thursdays before lunch.

I retired 'younger' about 4 1/2 years ago and yoga was a sensible healthy pastime I quickly incorporated into my new life of leisure.  Rise Yoga has been an amazing discovery for me.  The classes are taught by a variety of dedicated teachers who each bring a flair, something uniquely different to the class practice.  Owner Christelle is unafraid to mix things up with frequent specialized classes like sound healing, gong, hip opener, and inversion techniques.  It has been easy to maintain a committed practice with this studio.

Fitness has always been important to me.  Yoga has steadily and obviously improved my core strength, I feel stronger in both mind and body. The areas I try to work on most are probably breath to movement, flexibility of course, and definitely the balance postures. That balance thing with this older gal is a challenge!

Finally, I am excited to be a participant in Rise Yoga's first Teacher Training to be held this summer.  I know I will learn so much more about me, my practice, energetic anatomy, and the history and philosophy of Yoga.  Hope to see you on your mat soon!!  -Namaste
