Rejected? 5/1/16
Isaiah 53:3 (KJV)
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Probably, in my humble opinion at least, REJECTION hurts the most!!!
Jesus WELL knew this pain:
"
HE IS DESPISED AND REJECTED OF MEN!"
Of Him, the Apostle John wrote these Words:
John 1:11 (KJV)
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
If YOU have lived even just a mere few years of this life, I am positive YOU also have suffered this PAIN of REJECTION!!??
Isaiah said this of our Lord and Savior:
Isaiah 50:6 (KJV)
6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
The question that begs to be answered is "How do We deal with REJECTION!!??"
Do WE simply shrug our shoulders and IGNORE the pain, even denying to OURSELVES its very existence?
Do WE instantly shove it back in the offenders face? SMILE!!??
Any good sales person will testify that they MUST be prepared to suffer REJECTION as more times than oft their efforts will be REJECTED.
THEY, as well as WE, MUST understand Jesus' Words:
Matthew 10:14 (KJV)
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
WE are EXHORTED to do this:
Romans 12:21 (KJV)
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Dr. King uttered these powerful words:
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
St. Francis of Assisa said this: "All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle."
The sad and very real TRUTH is that not everyone will love you!
Even Jesus could not overcome this REJECTION:

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
TODAY, if You UNDERSTAND/FEEL the following Words, take HEART and ENCOURAGEMENT:

6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
TODAY, may ALL who are, have and will be "LAUGHED TO SCORN," simply react as David did:
1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV)
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
David "ENCOURAGED himself in the Lord his God!!!"
Colossians 3:1-4 (KJV)
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
TODAY, "SET YOUR AFFECTION ON THINGS ABOVE, NOT ON THINGS ON THE EARTH!!!!!"
