We are EXCITED (i.e. thrilled, overjoyed, abundantly happy) to announce that we hope to be in Sweden
very soon!  Our  funding is at 98% and our visas are in process.  Over the last 2+ years, we have driven over 30,000 miles sharing the need for the Gospel and the potential for revival in Sweden.  We could not have made this journey without you - our prayer and financial partners.  From the depths of our hearts, we say "Thank You!" and "Praise God!"

When God Calls 
      It's been six years now.  We still remember the day the email arrived in our inbox in Colorado.  The denomination leader simply asked us one question:
"Would you consider planting a church in Sweden?"
       Sweden wasn't on our radar as a country that needed the gospel.  We would find out it wasn't on the scope for many sending agencies either.  Why did Sweden need missionaries?  Weren't they already Christian?  So many we talked to seemed to have Swedish grandmothers that were the most Godly people in the world.  Why Sweden?  Why us?  Why now?
       What we learned from our dear Swedish friends both troubles us and excites us.  Our hearts have been broken with the need.  Our faith has been challenged by the potential.  Sweden is one of the darkest countries in the world spiritually.  It is also ripe for an awakening.
       This past April, WIN/Gallup announced the results for its 2014 End of the Year report that polled 65,000 people in 65 countries.   One fact emerged they weren't expecting - Sweden is the least religious country in the western world.  In the last 10 years, 20% of Swedish churches have closed permanently.  The numbers predict the demise of Biblical Christianity in just 40 years.  No wonder atheist groups claim it as one of their favorite countries.  Missiologists have even classified the current generation of Swedes as a lost people group.
       In that darkness shines the light of the Swedish evangelical church - fervent, passionate, bold - a praying church, a weeping church, a worshiping church - but a church that is also pleading for help.  For us the plight of Sweden is like a Biblical story.  God spared a remnant of Israel for an appointed time and then brought them home at his precise hour.
       We are blessed to jointly serve both Converge Worldwide and the EFCA/ReachGlobal - two organizations known for their skills in church planting and multiplication - two denominations founded originally by Scandinavians - two agencies being called for a time such as this.  Sweden needs the very gift she gave us.  How can we not respond readily?
       Perhaps God is calling you or someone you know to join us in Stockholm - to help us as we come alongside the Swedish church in their time of need.  Perhaps He is calling you to partner by giving.  The call of God is an awesome thing.  This is Sweden's time.  This is her hour.
