The Olympics Games, according to the Olympic Charter, seek “a way of life based on the joy of effort, the educational value of good example and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.” With the London Summer Games starting this week, the Catholic Church in Great Britain hopes to engage with that “way of life” in a number of ways, including outreach to athletes, fans of the Games and even the media.
