Greetings!
We at the Humanist Community at Harvard are deeply saddened by the far too early death of Marina Keegan, a Yale student, Humanist, and correspondent for our The New Humanism magazine, on May 26. Marina's work with Luke Vargas to study Humanist communities in India was an early inspiration for the Humanist Community Project, and so in many ways, it is helping link Humanists all over the country, and all over the world. On our website, you can find the four-part series of dispatches from Marina and Luke, written in 2010, and reposted on the HCP blog now as a tribute to her life and her work connecting people worldwide through her writing.

Summer and Fall at HCH ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you so much to everyone who was part of the Humanist Community Project in 2011 and 2012! Thanks to your generosity and participation, we have completed another amazing Spring semester! Last week, we finished the year with a packed final event with Dr. Paul Zak, plus fun and successful alumni and graduate events during the week! (Are you an alum? More info on our growing alumni community here.) As we end the year, we are preparing to invest heavily in making the coming year our best ever for promoting positive Humanist values and community. We are a 501(c)3 organization, not funded by Harvard University, and we need the help of everyone who believes in and shares this mission. As always you can support us here. We'll be in touch over the summer about more Humanist Community activities, so keep an eye out for our emails! |
