Reminder: Public Hearing
On Pepco's Service Reliability
This Evening at 6:30 p.m.
This evening, the Pepco Work Group will hold a public hearing to seek residential and commercial customer comments on their experiences with Pepco outages and their overall level of satisfaction with Pepco's service. The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Council Office Building, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville.
The Pepco Work Group, comprised of community leaders, was formed in October, 2009 to investigate the underlying reasons for Pepco's poor service reliability throughout the County. The Work Group's final recommendations will be shared with Pepco and the Maryland Public Service Commission (Pepco's regulatory authority) to assist in charting a path to improved service for all of the County's residents in the Pepco service area.
Registration for speakers at the public hearing is on a first-come, first-served basis and the number of speakers is limited to 50. Speakers must pre-register by calling 240-777-3764. Each speaker will have a maximum of three minutes for their presentation.
However, written comments can be submitted until tomorrow, January 6, to the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection at ConsumerProtection@montgomerycountymd.gov
with "Pepco Comment" in the subject line.
