This site lists bills (mostly bad) and the contact information for the appropriate committees/legislators.
You may use the Search function, to the right, to search for topics or sponsors.

Please contact your legislators!  Each bill posted on the site has the contact information listed - the sponsor (if one), the committee, and the committee telephone numbers.  If you click on the email links, the email addresses for the sponsor or committee automatically populate in your email client.

The only way we can make a difference is to tell our legislators how we feel about bills.  Most people do not contact legislators about bills - when they hear from enough of us, they listen.

When you contact legislators, please make sure you give your name, address, and telephone number - they will ask you for it before they will take your opinion under advisement.

Greetings!

Friends, I write this with excitement and enthusiasm. The small group of people that comprise the PVRC are a very caring and attentive group. Unfortunately, we have lacked the necessary organizational glue required to move this organization from existence to the relevant. I take full responsibility for this.

My time as the President has seen very high enthusiasm to the present mere existence. It is time for a new start, and I have all the confidence in the group that we will recover.

I also wanted to let you know that, due to new work responsibilities, I will not be present at the meeting tomorrow night, due to last minute travel requirements. I trust that the group can come to a consensus and elect/appoint a new leadership team.

I apologize for the late notice, but if you are interested in participating in the re-birth and re-branding of the PVRC. We are going to need all the help we can.

In Session

We are nearing the half way point of the session in Annapolis. Here is the latest legislative update.

Legislative Update Week of Feb 4-8th

The huge Second Amendment crowds and people willing to take time out of their busy schedules last Wednesday, Feb 6th was nothing short of amazing. The Senate Hearings were overflowing with concerned Marylander's showing that we are making a difference and we will be heard. The proof that O'Malley and other gun grabbers in the General Assembly is apparent as his claims that the "NRA" (and other groups, MSI, MDShooters, etc) are drowning out support for Gun Control. Thank Goodness these organizations exist and organize the massive response. The article claims over 700 signed up to testify, I'm hear to tell you that list was well over 1200, and there were well in excess of 3000 people there in opposition.

Please continue to call, email your representatives with your thoughts regarding this gun grab, one that casts aside the U.S. Constitution and the MD Constitution on many fronts, including but not limited to the following:

[MD Declaration of Rights]

Art. 17. That retrospective Laws, punishing acts committed before the existence of such Laws, and by them only declared criminal are oppressive, unjust and incompatible with liberty; wherefore, no ex post facto Law ought to be made; nor any retrospective oath or restriction be imposed, or required.

Bull Roast Committee
During our last meeting there was an interest to form a committee to discuss and plan a Spring Fundraiser for the club. Please if you are interested make it a point to contact Al Nalley at the meeting tomorrow night so we can get this off the ground.
