Award-winning poet, educator, publisher, editor, and social justice advocate, Haki Madhubuti's, 75th birthday celebration is coming up and you're invited! Family, friends and associates of the Third World Press founder are inviting the community to commemorate his pivotal service, empowering and uplifting commitment to the Black community during a special 75th birthday event on Saturday, February 25.

Additionally, Madhubuti is co-founder of Betty Shabazz International Charter Schools and is one of the world's best-selling authors of poetry and non-fiction with 31 published books. His Black Men: Obsolete, Single, Dangerous? The African American Family in Transition, has sold more than 1 million copies world-wide. The free event will take place at The Grand Ballroom, 6351 S. Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago.
