Aloha ,
I am happy to share that repaving of Kamokila Boulevard and Farrington Highway (from Naʻu Place to approximately 360 feet east of Kapouka Place) is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 6, 2018!

This is a major priority for my office.  In every year since I've been elected to the Council, I added funding to the City Budget for the repaving of these roads, including the FY 2018 Budget, where we approved $30,000,000 for planning, design, construction, and related street improvements throughout O'ahu including roads such as Kamokila Boulevard and more.

Road Repaving Schedule
A city contractor is expected to begin cold paning and paving activities during overnight hours from  7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. , Mondays through Thursdays.  Work hours for adjustment of utility manholes and covers, installation of permanent pavement markings, and vehicle loop sensors is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m ., Mondays through Fridays, with additional work possible on weekends.  Work is expected to take up to three months.

Residents, please be advised to observe and obey all traffic controls, signage, and driving with caution through the construction area.  At this time, we appreciate your patience and understanding for any anticipated delays due to detours, lane and road closures.

As we move forward, I am continuing to fight to ensure major thoroughfares as well as general roads throughout our Leeward coast communities will get the attention they deserve.
