Grand Opening!
Dear Family Friends and Supporters,

Yesterday was a wonderful day! Many of you follow us on Facebook or Twitter and may already know, but we wanted to send out a brief update about our Grand Opening Service. We had a team here from Pensacola, FL which has been helped us during the week leading up to the Grand Opening. A group from Kansas joined us for the weekend, and they all helped us tremendously with our first service. They were involved in things such as music, nursery, children's church, greeters, ushers, sound system, set-up and much more. A huge THANK YOU to all of you who were involved in making the day a great success!

By God's grace, most everything went according to plan. We are pleased to report that 157 people attended this first service. I preached a simple message entitled "The Best News Possible" from John 3:16. Seven people indicated on their response card that they accepted Christ as a result of hearing the good news yesterday. What a thrill to see souls saved on our very first Sunday! Indeed a church has been born. Dozens of you have communicated to me that you were praying. Thank you so much! It is obvious that God was working in hearts. If you would like to see pictures of the day, visit the "Photos" section of our Facebook page.

There is much work to be done on following up. We will be following up not only with those who trusted Christ, but also with several who expressed interest in the "Inquirer's Bible Study" (an evangelistic four-week study). Pray for strength and effectiveness in our work in the coming weeks.

One other interesting bit of news. Last week we let you know about an article that ran in the Austin-American Statesman. The Associated Press has syndicated story, and it has run in newspapers all over the country including the Houston Chronicle, Pittsburgh Post, Charleston Gazette and Greenville (SC) News. It has also been published in the North Korea Times and in India!

Thank you for your faithful prayer. We are so excited about what God is doing and will continue to do.

In His Service,
