The National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) at Wichita State is a shining example of a university's support of advanced manufacturing.  A recent article in  Area Development magazine  identified NIAR as a program that demonstrates "best in class" practices when it comes to promoting an innovative advanced manufacturing culture.

Quickdraw - a video game and application company geared toward restaurants and bars - won the $10,000 first-place prize April 29 at the finals of the Shocker New Venture Competition.  Read more...
Ennovar engages multiple new technology-based industry partners
The Ennovar Institute at WSU has gained several new industry partners this quarter, many of which could pave the way for long-term collaboration and applied learning opportunities. In the past two months, Ennovar has engaged with local companies Fliphound, Clutch Studio and Alltite, and national companies Dell and Commvault, engaging 40 student employees in applied learning opportunities.
