"Chemical Industry Stock Performance and IPOs - What's Hot and What is Not"

This has been both an exciting and a turbulent time for the global economy and the equity markets. How have chemical company shares and valuations fared in the public equity markets this year? What is driving the movement of their share prices now and in the future and are we seeing different patterns in different chemical sectors and geographies? Are we heading for another round of shareholder activist skirmishes with public chemical companies? Why are we going through a somewhat disjointed experience in terms of the chemical industry IPO experiences these last two years and what are the lessons for investors and owners of private chemical companies?

Peter Young, President of a leading chemicals and life science investment bank, Young & Partners. He will use the firm's highly regarded data analyses and the firms' experience working with clients on a global basis to answer the above and other questions about the chemical industry stock market performance, IPOs and the implications for companies and investors.

In addition to the featured speaker, this will be the Annual Meeting of Société de Chimie Industrielle and will include the election of officers and Board Members, as well as a brief review of Société de Chimie Industrielle's year.
