Resources from the
Hannah Senesh Diversity Committee
Dear Senesh Community,

Thank you to those who were able to join the Parent Diversity Committee conversation about current events, race and racism. It was wonderful to see so many parents and staff come together to discuss these difficult and pressing issues. For those who were not able to join, we hope that you will still find the information below useful.

Attached are some curated resources based on last night’s small group discussions, including material for adults and tools for speaking with children of different ages on these topics. While we have found these materials useful, there is clearly so much information out there, and we recognize that what is helpful for one family may not resonate with another.

Our next event for Senesh parents will take place on July 15th from 8:30 - 10:00pm .  Please mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information.

In the meantime, you may want to attend this book launch event tomorrow (June 11) at 5:00pm EST - Raising Antiracist Kids: A Book Launch

Finally, if last night’s conversations inspired you, or if you left thinking that there is so much more to be done, please consider joining the committee!  All are welcome and we would love to have your perspective.

Best,

Samantha Abeysekera, Shira Eisenberg, Ashley Firestone,
Shira Gregory, Melissa Kushner and Martha Nadell
