As you know, last night the Southeast was rocked by an incredible amount of storms. We hope that you and your family are safe, and that there is no damage to your personal property. If you know of anyone from our church family or local community who could use assistance from the storms, and you have first hand details of the damages, please let us know. There may be an opportunity to serve a family through Last Saturday or this Summer's Community Makeover (July 21st-24th).

Our neighbors to the West in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham appear to be among some of the hardest hit from these storms. We have reached out to our friends at Samaritan's Purse (SP) and asked them how we can serve those impacted from the tornadoes, wind sheer, and lightning that accompanied these storms.
As I am writing this, SP is setting up Disaster Relief Units in those two cities. We would love to send teams of people from West Ridge, and go serve those communities together.
We have no exact details at this point, but if you would like to be put on a list and notified when details are nailed down please contact us by sending a note to our office. The cost would be minimal. You would only need to be able to help provide the transportation cost to either Tuscaloosa or Birmingham. The goal is to send 'West Ridgers' over in teams, so that expense can be shared.
Samaritan's Purse will take care of food and lodging.
No minimum stay is required, but it would be best if you could give a couple of nights up to a week of your time.
