OPENING Up

Michele Perkins - Team Coordinator  (SRG Athens)

Hello  and w elcome to the October edition of  Restored .
My name is Michele Perkins and I am honored to serve as Team Coordinator in the SRG Athens Office. Home of the Georgia Bulldogs.  We bleed red  and black.
I have b een married to my high school sweetheart, Keith for 18 years. God blessed us  with a son,  Dawson (11) who inspires me daily. He also keeps us very busy either on the baseball field or dirt bike  track.
I have had the pleasure to work for SRG Athens for 6 years. It is heart warming to see the growth over the years.   I consider it a blessing to be able to work for an organization that allows prayer before meetings, to pray for one
another and mostly to be able to be able to put God in the center of everything to better serve him.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto
thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge
him, and he shall direct thy path."  -Proverbs 3:5-6

God directed me to the path of SRG and I thank him daily. May God bless you!!

LIVES Restored

SRG has always looked for opportunities to volunteer in our communities. Whether it be seasonal or a need that has arisen, we enjoy giving back. This year we have joined with Crawford & Co. for their Global Day of Service.  Each of our offices participated and partnered with organizations in their areas to volunteer and of course Make it FUN!!! while we serve.

SRG Canton, Calhoun and CSC joined forces and hit Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. To see more images from that day click here.

SRG Macon joined with Rebuilding Together to do some work in the Warner Robins area.  For more images click here.

SRG Athens worked with Camp Hooray and brought along lots of family members to join in the fun.

Our SRG Offices in Columbus, GA and Augusta, GA are both scheduled to have days of service on the 17th.  A huge thank you to SRG's leadership for not only seeing the importance of volunteering in our communities, but in making it a priority for every office to take part in serving.

October is National Fire Prevention Month.  As we head into the colder months there is an increased threat of fires due to heaters and other devices used to help create warmth.

COMMUNITY Participation

First of all, we would like to say that we have been blown away, humbled  by the response and generosity of our community to this initiative for Childhood Cancer Awareness.

In September SRG  began an initiative to send as many kids to Camp Sunshine as possible.  Our starting goal was 8 kids, then we thought let's push it to 20.

There are three phases to our initiative.  Phase 1 was in September which was Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Phase 2 will be around Thanksgiving to Christmas and Phase 3 in the spring will be an initiative ending Golf Tournament with proceeds added to the final totals.

Amazingly, having just completed Phase 1, we stand at $32,000+ dollars, which equates to 40+ children!!!

A huge Thank you to all of our SRG Team Members, their families and friends who have given so generously to this initiative.  To find out more about this initiative click here.
