Ken Burns' "Defying the Nazis" Potluck, Film & Discussion: Sunday, September 25, 12:30 p.m.(Rooms 113/115): Join us for a viewing of Ken Burn's film followed by a lively discussion. The film documents a Unitarian minister and his wife's courageous mission in 1939 to help refugees escape Nazi-occupied Europe, risking their lives so that hundreds could live in freedom. The films asks how we carry on the Sharps' legacy of defying hatred and discrimination today? Islamophobia and the Syrian refugee crisis are modern day parallels to the bigotry the Sharps fought against. If you are able, please bring a dish to share, "finger foods only."
