Nurture spirituality. Foster compassion. Engage in service.
May Theme: Mercy
See You Saturday!

Tomorrow (Sat May 10 -- 9:30a - 3:00p) is LoraKim's workshop on "Compassionate Communication: Nurturing Our Lives, Our Relationship and Our World."

THEN THE NEXT SATURDAY -- May 17 -- is an equally vital and important workshop on developing our intercultural competency -- becoming increasingly welcoming and diverse people in an increasingly welcoming and diverse congregation.

We live in a multicultural world -- and we aren't always the most skillful in doing our part to make this reality a good one for ourselves and for those who are different from us.

Practice of the Week
Week #19
Smile

Not in a Dr. Evil kind of way.

And not an obviously fake way, or if you're really sad.

But any time you're feeling neutral or better, deciding to add a smile is good for you!

Adult Religious Education: "Our Story, Our Faith"
Friday evenings, May 9, 16, and 30
7:30 - 9:00pm
@ The Parsonage

Come, let us talk about who we are and what it means to be Unitarian Universalist. What is this faith we share? How do we articulate it to others? Long-timers and "repeaters" (who have taken this or similar courses before) are welcome because it's a different conversation every time! And the readings packet is newly revised and expanded.

Please send me an email (minister -at- cucwp.org) to let me know you're coming. Also please pick up the packet of readings from Jane Dixon on Sunday morning. There's reading to do before the first session!

Notes and Reminders

A memorial service will be held for Howard Garson at CUC on Sat May 31 at 1:00.
