Dear Columbine Family!
Summer is here — and I hope you are enjoying the sun and the time outdoors already! The cool rain has been wonderful, and I hope that you did not get a lot of the hail damage that was going around yesterday.
I wanted to write a short note and just let you know what the summer schedule looks like around Columbine.
Starting today I will be on Study Leave until July 5th.
Study leave is part of my original covenant with the Congregation and is used for study/preparation for the coming church year. I am working — but relieved from regular ministry duties — and will be available for emergencies only, i.e., death and life-threatening hospitalization.
From July 18th-July 31st, I will be on vacation.
During this time I will also only be available for extreme emergencies.

When I return on July 5-18, I will let you know about new exciting staffing decisions that have been made for the coming year, and we will talk about what this 3/4-time ministry thing will be all about.
