Conserving our land, water, and way of life in Colorado's San Luis Valley.
Monte Vista Middle School's Seventh Graders at La Garita Creek Ranch for Conservation Day!
The entire seventh grade of Monte Vista Middle School participated in Conservation Day at the soon-to-be conserved La Garita Creek Ranch in Saguache County a couple of weeks ago. Students had the opportunity to learn about atlatls, water flows, archaeology, bugs and fish, the importance of conservation, and so much more! Check out our Facebook page for more photos of this fun day.
Get Going with San Luis Valley Great Outdoors
If you love to recreate in the San Luis Valley, it's great to know that the San Luis Valley Great Outdoors (SLVGO) coalition is working to develop, enhance and encourage outdoor recreation across the Valley! Through the SLV Conservation Fund, RiGHT and partners  Colorado Open LandsWestern Rivers Conservancy and the  LOR Foundation awarded $50,000 to SLVGO. This supports Coordinator Mick Daniel to set up their non-profit, add staff, boost their website's information about trails and outdoor recreation, and make a solid plan for long-term success. Check out their website  www.slvgo.com to learn all about it!
How to Plan Your Conservation Legacy by Nancy Butler
When RiGHT started in 1999, we made a promise to protect the special places in the San Luis Valley . . . forever, for the next generation, and generations to come. You can help us do just that by making a planned giving through your estate. Planned gifts can be beneficiary designations on insurance policies, retirement funds, bank accounts, etc., or can be designations in your will to leave RiGHT a specific asset or a portion of your assets. A planned gift will make a huge difference to conservation in the San Luis Valley and may be the most significant gift you ever given. Please read more about planned gifts, leaving your legacy, and joining RiGHT's Headwaters Legacy Circle by visiting our website or getting in touch with us.
