Mobility Roadshow 

Come and visit us on Stand 96 at this year's Mobility Roadshow from Thursday 25th to Saturday 27th June 2015 at Donington Park.  

The Roadshow also includes Get Going Live! aimed at young and novice disabled drivers plus, on Friday a Conference about older drivers.  Sign up in advance for test drives at the Mobility Roadshow website here.

The campaign, My Voice, My Wheelchair, My Life now has a new website: www.rightwheelchair.org.uk .
Rica's work on powered wheelchairs includes
our
national survey of 350 powered wheelchair users and a new practical guide called Getting a powered wheelchair .

Choice Unlimited

Planet DeaFantastic Expo
Aimed at both Deaf and disabled people, Planet DeaFantastic offers a free day of information on employment opportunities, advice, advocacy and seminars, open from 10.00 am- 4.00 pm at Better Bankside, Bankside, Bankside Community Space, 18 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0FD on Monday 13 July 2015. Northern Ireland's main disability sports organisation, Disability Sport NI has launched best practice design and management guidelines. Find out more here.


No Voice Unheard, No Right Ignored
This week 15th - 21st June is Learning Disability Week and you can find out more from  Mencap here.   The views of people with learning disability in a response to the Easy Read  Consultation to the Coalition government's Green Paper called 'Making Rights Better and Listening To People' has been published by People First England here.   

Peer support: what is it?
National Voices and Nesta have published a review Peer Support: What Is It and Does It Work?  which found evidence that peer support can help people feel more knowledgeable, confident and happy, and less isolated and alone. 
 
 
Do you need accessible health information?
The RNIB want 20,000 blind and partially sighted people to tell the NHS in what format they need to receive information.
