Heart of the North Day is a grassroots community based effort to bring issues of importance to the State Legislators for the northern counties of Barron, Rusk, Sawyer and Washburn. 2016 is the fourth year for our grassroots lobbying effort. We traveled to Madison Wednesday, February 24th by bus from the Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce. We had meetings with key legislators, department heads and state cabinet level officials who advocate for issues that are unique and specific to our region of the great State of Wisconsin. We are always looking for feedback and input to help make our lobbying effort a successful event. Public involvement is critical to our effort.
