How to enter and what you can win!

As promised, we'll be raffling off a few of the major items from our Rioja window display to some lucky customers! Here's what you can win:
First Prize: Weber grill and "Vibrant Rioja" grill tools
Second Prize: "Vibrant Rioja lawn chair and outdoor pillow
Third Prize: "Vibrant Rioja" grill tools
Fourth Prize: Four "Vibrant Rioja" wine glasses
How to enter: No purchase necessary. Bring your business card to the tasting and drop it in the bowl to enter (one entry per customer, please). We'll draw four names on Monday and notify winners by email. Prizes can be picked up mid-September when the window is taken down - we'll let you know when it's ready!

This summer has been full of great weather, cookouts, and wine, and our "Summer in Rioja" promotion has played its part well. We want to celebrate these special wines one last time, and there's no better way than with wine, food, and friends!
Tomorrow night from 5:30-7:30, we're throwing a "Summer in Rioja" Send-Off Party. We've picked four of our favorite Rioja wines to taste, and our friends at Taberna de Haro will be providing some authentic tapas to pair. We're big believers in great wine deserving great food, a philosophy that Taberna's chef-owner Deborah Hansen shares with us wholeheartedly.
As if wine and food aren't good enough, we'll have some great offers during the event, including a Rioja Summer Send-Off Six Pack ($75), cork puller giveaways, and a raffle of the items in our Rioja window display (including a new Weber grill). It's a great chance to stock up for Labor Day cookouts, and one lucky winner will even have something new to cook on!

Tasting notes: This deep pink rose of Trepat is made in the traditional method by one of Rioja's most well-known producers. The wine is full of vibrant berry aromas and flavors, pink peppercorn spice, and a long dry finish. Serious and satisfying!
2013 Ostatu Blanco Reg. Price: $16.99, Sale Price: $14.99
Tasting notes: This Blanco exemplifies the best qualities of white Rioja. A blend of Viura and Malvasia fermented on the lees in stainless steel leaves a crisp, floral, and herbaceous wine with lively acidity. A big-time refresher in this lingering summer heat.
2005 Lopez de Haro Reserva Reg. Price: $16.99, Sale Price: $14.99
Tasting notes: We tasted this wine at the Rioja Grand Tasting in NYC last May, and it blew us away. A classic Reserva Rioja with plum and blackberry, leather and earth, and a slightly toasty and  dusty palate. Only in Spain will you find an elegant, nine-year-old wine for $15!
