If you need assistance or plan to stop by the Chamber office, it is helpful to call ahead (651-451-2266) of time or make an appointment. The Chamber staff make it a top priority to be present and out in the community whenever possible.
The Chamber Office will be closed at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 31 and all day Thursday Jan. 1st. Happy New Year!

The Bengtson's welcomed two new additions to their family on December 18th!
Nicole Bengtson, River Heights Chamber of Commerce Communications Manager, gave birth to a daughter (Geneva) and son (Harrison) last week. The twins were welcomed by their big brother William and the family is enjoying the holidays at home!

New Early Learning Center Provides Room to Grow
From the PIONEER PRESS: Language skills are best picked up by children during their earliest years, when the brain develops and matures, according to the National Institutes of Health. Recognizing the critical period is from birth to 5 years old, the new Inver Grove Heights Early Learning Center hopes to enhance children's learning, help close achievement gaps and strengthen ties to parents. The center, which opened in August, has added 49 preschool slots and will be able to accommodate 201 children who are 3 and 4 years old this school year. The increased space allows for additional courses in early childhood education, special education and Head Start, a program that serves low-income families.

Tiny Tots & Little Tykes Preschool and Childcare Center is Looking for Donations!
Tiny Tots & Little Tykes Preschool and Childcare Center is asking for donations. Items needed include:
- All types of paper
- Art supplies of all kinds (construction paper, markers, glue, scissors, etc.)
- Dress up clothes
- Toys, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, children's books, puzzles, etc.
- Clothes for children ages 6 weeks old through age 12
- Outerwear for children ages 6 weeks old through age 12 (coats, boots, snow pants, shoes, mittens, hats)
Donations can be delivered to Tiny Tots & Little Tykes Preschool and Childcare Center at 60 E. Marie Ave., West St. Paul, MN or to the Chamber Office at 5782 Blackshire Path IGH.
The South St. Paul/Inver Grove Heights Rotary Club is Accepting Nominations for the 2015 SOHR Award Recipient! Candidates should have made an impact on the greater South St. Paul, West St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights area for in excess of 10 years by being either a resident or having provided their humanitarian service in these communities. The recipient will be acknowledged at the club's "SOHR Banquet and Fundraiser" on Friday, April 10th and receive a $1,000 donation in their name to a charity of their choice. Please contact the award coordinator Joe Gullerud at 651-789-1814 or [email protected] with your nomination no later than Friday, January 2nd.
