Minnesota: A 'policy blueprint' that deserves attention

From the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS: An ambitious project to provide a policy blueprint for Minnesotans and their lawmakers is a good place to start the conversation about the most important challenges facing the state. The Center of the American Experiment's release of "The Minnesota Policy Blueprint" in book form is an important way to keep the discussion going. The book, combining 10 chapters released during the summer and fall, makes its formal debut Jan. 22 at the Minnesota History Center. The event is free, but registration is required, and information is at americanexperiment.org. A blueprint summary for policymakers also is available at the website. The conservative think tank describes the blueprint as a package of wide-ranging policy recommendations emphasizing personal initiative, free enterprise and a limited, frugal government.

Manufacturing Strength to Continue in 2015

From the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development: ST. PAUL - Minnesota manufacturers are optimistic about the industry in 2015, with more than 90 percent saying they expect production and employment levels to increase or stay the same - up more than 10 percent from 2014 for both indicators- according to a survey by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

This event will be over 5 lunch hours (11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) from 1/20-2/17. The 5 sessions will focus on the Core Pillars of business. Concepts and methods will be presented then you will be provided with the practical tools that can be utilized in your business. This event costs $20 per session or $100 for all 5 sessions. Lunch is provided at each session.
