TWICE EXCEPTIONAL
What is 2E? Twice exceptional aka 2e students are generally identified as both intellectually gifted & talented and learning disabled. In the education world, giftedness and learning disabilities are both considered "exceptionalities", so the term "twice-exceptional" refers to a student with exceptionalities on both sides of the proverbial bell curve. In a nutshell, if you have a child who you know is smart/bright, but who struggles to show it, they may be 2e.
Please keep an eye out for more resources and events from the PTAC 2E committee in the weeks to come.

GREEN TIP OF THE WEEK - SKIP THE STRAW!
Small changes can have a big impact! 500 million single-use straws are used every day in the United States alone. Simply skipping them for one month will help keep plastic out of landfills and our oceans.
Or make a sustainable swap with these options.
