Dear Parents,
We hope you all had a great week and enjoyed our "Walk to School Wednesday" brought to you by our wonderful Green Committee! October is a busy month and we are excited about our Fall Fundraiser on October 21st and Boo Bash on October 27th. The Fall Fundraiser is always a fun night and a great way to meet other parents in the school. There will be an amazing silent auction which we hope you enjoy! All funds raised will support our PTA which pays for educational programs (Arts In Ed programs click here, Science In Ed Programs click here), field trips, classroom supplies, community events and more. Boo Bash truly brings Halloween to life for our school community. The children have a blast enjoying games, crafts, pizza and glow in the dark fun. Tickets are now on sale for both events, please see below for details.
Finally, our Math Marathon starts this Monday, October 9th where classes engage in a friendly competition to complete as many math problems on IXL as possible. More details are provided below.
As always, a huge thank you goes to our countless volunteers working countless hours to make all this possible.
Have a great weekend,
Jenn Wolfe & Sarah Morris
PTA Co- Presidents

MATH MARATHON
Riverside School will be hosting its annual Math Marathon from Monday, October 9th to Friday, November 3rd. Classes will go head-to-head, with each student completing as many grade-level problems on IXL as possible (outside of school time). Students must log in to their school account for problems to count in the class total. Results will be shown by grade on the bulletin board in the entry foyer and will be updated each Monday until we announce the winner.
Students received their IXL login information from their classroom teachers. If parents are unfamiliar with IXL or if a student is not sure of their log in, please reach out to your student's teacher.
The winning class will get their own extra recess
on Monday November 6th
as well as other surprises. So get ready to divide (or add, subtract or multiply) and conquer math!
