Dear Parents,
We have some more Innovation Space Open Lab available this Tuesday 3:15-4:15 (until after April vacation). You can sign up here. We will also have a few Greenwich High School students joining us to teach coding to those interested.
Special thanks to our PTA for sponsoring and organizing the S.T.E.M. Fair held this week. It was exciting to see the innovative work of so many of our students showcased. Thanks also to the many parents who joined us Tuesday evening. Channel 12 TV ran a nice news feature on the fair. You can also see photos and read the Greenwich Time article here.

STUDENT COUNCIL'S PENNIES FOR PATIENTS
Riverside Student Council is running this fundraising project until March 31. All funds raised goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which supports research that significantly increases the survival rates for blood cancer patients. Most striking is the increase from a 3% child survival rate for leukemia in 1964 to a 90% survival rate today!
Each student has been putting pennies and cash into their donation boxes, then turning them in to their class's large collection box. Each grade level is racing to raise the most, so we can exceed last year's total and meet our new goal of $3,000 this year. There is a bulletin board in the first floor hallway showing current totals. As of this week, we have already raised $1790!
There is also a large donation box in the front hallway so visitors and parents stopping by can contribute any loose change or bills.
Thank you for joining us in this very worthwhile cause. EVERY PENNY COUNTS!

GREEN TIP OF THE WEEK
The three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
This week, focus on how you can REUSE materials in their original form instead of throwing them away. Buy and sell items online or at a yard sale instead of buying new. This is especially great for gently used toys, clothes, and sporting
equipment. If you can't sell it, donate it. One man's trash is another man's treasure!
