ALLERGIES AWARENESS
Word cloud concept illustration of allergies symptoms
Children with Food Allergies Need ALL of US to be Safe
All Parents and students should be aware and have a basic understanding of the risks faced by their children's friends with food allergies. Please download the district's  new food allergy brochure in  English (or in  Spanish) for ways you and your child can help a food allergic friend. A hard copy of this brochure can also be found in your child's Friday folder today. Thank you in advance for taking the time to share this with your family.
LICE INFORMATION
Riverside R Following the new instruction from the Greenwich Supervisor School Health Program, Mary Keller, we will no longer do routine checks of the entire class where a case of lice has been identified. We will continue with individual checks and re-checks, but the routine checking of classes yields little results and only causes undo speculation and alarm. We will continue to send home alerts, so parents can be advised of the need to check their children.
STUDENT COUNCIL HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS
Last Call Donation Request: Following Hurricane Harvey, families from Red Elementary School in Houston, TX have suffered from the loss of their homes and belongings. To support this school, the Riverside Student Council is collecting new or gently used children's  lightweight jackets, vests, and zip-up sweatshirts (sizes extra small to extra large). These items can be brought in to the bins in the front lobby.  Thank you for your generosity!
