HIGH TOUCH HIGH TECH

GOVERNMENT ASSEMBLY
This week, a professional storyteller from CT Storytelling Center visited our 3rd grade classes for a very exciting Government Assembly.  The children enjoyed a celebration of the constitution and acted out the preamble in a very lively performance.  They then learned about the three branches of government and  how they work together.  From there, the children were given an overview of our state and local governments.  Lastly, the 3rd  graders were treated to a very entertaining performance on the history of CT and The Charter Oak.  There were singing, role playing, costume changes, props and a lot of laughter!

The Government Assembly is sponsored by the Riverside School PTA.
