Friends,
I'm headed back west, to keynote a few events. First, the Chapman University Emerging Scholars Conference on Saturday, September 29 at 5:30pm. (NOT 9/14: that was a typo. My bad.)
This is my hometown so I hope to catch up with many OC compatriots while I'm there. The theme of the conference is "STANDING UP TO BULLYING." I dedicate this speech to my late-mentor and dear friend, Chapman Law Professor Katherine Darmer (she introduced me to Senator Gillibrand very early in the fight to repeal DADT. Katherine was always a voice for the voiceless in Orange County and beyond.)
Next, I'm off to Portland and Seattle. (My Combat Battle-Buddy Capt. William Cannon, now world-famous radio host, is ordering me to guest DJ on KSUB-SU's independent radio station, before the lecture. Alert the FCC!)
Okay, now you know. See you soon!
Love is worth it,
Lt. Dan Choi
Ps: I'll send update on my ongoing criminal trials for protesting "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and Tarsands Keystone XL Pipeline, sometime next week.
