Support Roberson:  Annual Fund Drive

Dear Friend:

We know we don't act our age. You see us teeming with energy when you look at our New Year's Masquerade in the Mansion party; at RoberCon, our recent Science Fiction Convention; at our glittering annual Home for the Holidays event and at our many youthful partnerships.

But guess what...

We're turning 60!

Yes, that's right. Roberson has been a center of activity for six decades...and we're stronger than ever. Thank you for helping us to be such a pillar in the community and for allowing us to deliver excellence in all of our exhibitions, educational programming and events.

Our 60th anniversary will feature a touring exhibit loaned by our new friends at the New York State Museum in Albany. Hosting the treasures of New York State is just one of the ways we're bringing new energy into our galleries. Another way is to raise the bar for museum education. On March 14, Roberson will be hosting the very first NY regional conference that will bring together classroom teachers and administrators with instructors from libraries; informal learning centers; and, of course, museums to discuss Uncommon Approaches to the Common Core. We're serious about museum education.

While our spirit at Roberson is young, there is one area where we're showing our age...our facilities. Thanks to a grant through the Regional Economic Development Council, Roberson has hired professionals to assess our aging facilities and recommend a prioritized plan for implementation.

Within a weeks of receiving this, Roberson will learn the outcome of another Economic Development grant for major improvements. We're planning to be around for the next 60 years.  And we're asking YOU to be part of our momentum.

Roberson is excited to be celebrating our 60 year anniversary. Please show your support for the successful exhibitions, educational programs and community-engaging events that reflect our community and region. Every gift helps.

With sincere thanks,

Terry McDonald, Executive Director

P.S. Stop by later this winter to see our display of items loaned by the New York State Museum!
