Rockefeller Institute and
NYSAC Offer Third Annual Local Government Conference for Researchers, Policymakers, and Practitioners
Local governments provide most of the public services New Yorkers depend on. The state's local governments continue to seek ways to better serve their local citizens and address local needs. To better understand how we can improve the capacities of local governments to meet these challenges, the Rockefeller Institute has invited an excellent group of researchers and practitioners to present their current work on the challenges and opportunities facing local governments in New York. The New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) joins us this year in cosponsoring the event.

Presenters will discuss their findings at our Research and Practice in Progress Briefing on Local Government in New York: A Forum for Local Government Researchers, Practitioners, and Policymakers. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th, from 10:30 a.m. --  3:45 p.m. at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government of SUNY, at 411 State Street in Albany.

To register, please contact Michele Charbonneau at (518) 443-5258 or at [email protected]. The program is free and open to all interested. Parking permits are available on request.
