LGBTQ Pride Shabbat Potluck Dinner

Join Romemu and Dr. Shirly Bahar as we celebrate the LGBTQ community with a special Shabbat potluck. Dr. Bahar is a queer femme Mizrahi Jew and the Director of Public Programs at the American Jewish Historical Society. We will eat, get to know each other and talk about being LGBTQ and Jewish! Support Romemu and Sacred Sounds at UJA's "Pop Up Philanthropy"
Tues. 6/20 @ 7 PM 

We're thrilled to report that Romemu's multi-faith initiative Sacred Sounds is a finalist to receive a grant from UJA. The grant will be given as part of an event called "Pop Up Philanthropy" where attendees are given the chance to vote on recipients. Grant winners will be based on the number of votes they receive in the room, so show up to support Romemu!

12-Step Inspired Group at Romemu

Seeking Tech Savvy Volunteers for Social Justice Film Series

The Romemu Herring and Vodka Social Justice Film series is seeking a few individuals who can attend to the technical aspects of showing the films, including downloading the video files, hooking up the projector, and playing the film from a computer. Seeking Volunteer Shomerim

Shomerim  are guardians of our sacred space. They prepare the sanctuary for services, recycle leftover newsletters, close the doors following services/ programs, and generally ensure all goes well in the sanctuary before, during, and after services. If you are interested in becoming part of the  Shomerim , contact [email protected]

Seeking New Members of Romemu's Chevra Kaddisha

Chevra kaddisha, meaning "holy society," performs the mitzvah of shmira for our members and their loved ones who have died. Chevra kaddisha volunteers  sit with/near the deceased, often reading psalms or meditating until the time of burial. Interested individuals or those seeking more information about this sacred work should email Rabbi Eva Sax Bolder at [email protected]

The Chesed Committee

The Chesed Committee serves and supports members' well-being through acts of loving-kindness.
