Route 1 Widening Project

Construction set to begin this spring
Join representatives from the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division, VDOT, FCDOT and Fort Belvoir as they share updates on the Route 1 Widening Project from Telegraph Road to Mount Vernon Memorial Highway. Members of the project team will review the project schedule and discuss how to deal with potential traffic impacts during construction. Initial construction activities along Route 1 are scheduled to begin in late March/early April of this year.
Project Team members will be available 30 minutes before and after the presentation to review exhibits and provide informal information to residents.

The Parker at Huntington Station

Coming Spring 2015
MRP Realty tore down a 40-year-old office building located immediately adjacent to the Huntington Metro station on Huntington Avenue, and is in the process of constructing a 360-unit, 5 story multifamily residential development. Phase 2, to be built in the future, will include a 15-story, 210,000 SF office building with ground floor retail and a 150 key hotel.
The rezoning for this development was approved in November 2012. Construction is officially underway for the apartments and parking garage.
Features and amenities of The Parker will include walk-in closets, granite countertops, residential lounge, fitness center, swimming pool and sun deck, landscaped courtyard with grills, and a 24-hour wifi business center.
