2017 National Gunner Dinner

The Australian Artillery Association's 2017 National Gunner Dinner to be held at The Event Centre in Caloundra QLD on Saturday 27 May 2016 continues to gain momentum.

The 2017 National Gunner Dinner has been dedicated to 'The Regiments'.

To date there is a total of 278 registered attendee and that number continues to grow and therefore their aim of achieving a minimum attendance of 400 and hopefully achieve their goal of 600 attendees is most likely.

A Happy Hour will also be held at The Event Centre on Friday 26 May 2017 commencing at 4:00pm and concluding at 9:00pm.  A meal and light entertainment is also available at the Happy Hour.

The RAA Banner will be in attendance at the 2017 National Gunner Dinner as will the Band of the 1st Regiment RAA providing entertainment throughout the evening.

Did You Know:   The Gunner Officers' Badge.   The Regimental badge worn by Australian Gunner commissioned officers and warrant officers class one contains an extra 'spinning' wheel; this is a tradition carried-on from the Royal Artillery. In the British Army the corps/regimental badges of the above mentioned ranks are worn to differentiate themselves from the other ranks. The Gunner collar badges are also different between the ranks, the commissioned officers and warrant officers class one wear a seven-flamed bursting grenade, whilst the other ranks wear an RAA scroll.
