We are so excited for you to experience a race on one of the most beautiful and forgotten canyons in the state. You are going to love the course, you're going to receive the most amazing finisher medal, all the necessities are going to be there, porta-potties, recovery food/drinks, and awards ceremony that will start at 10:00 am.

Dino Dash 1/2 mile

The Dino Dash Half Mile is for children 12 and under. It will start around 10:30 a.m. at the finish line. Kid's will get a Tshirt for running the dash.
You can register your child the day of or online for $12.

Costa Vida RYR Pacers

We are excited to have Costa Vida RYR Pacers helping you get to the finish line and accomplish your goals! Look for them in the Yellow Jerseys. These are the times that they will be pacing:

Aid Stations

There are aid stations at miles:
3, 5, 7, 9 & 11.
Powerade, water and Porta potties are at the start, finish and all aid stations.
There will be GU at aid station at mile 7.
There will be orange slices at aide station at mile 9.

Lucid Images is professionally photographing the Dino Half. You will love their pictures and we hope you support them and buy a picture memory from them. They will also be making a video of the race that will be posted to Youtube.

Sprintasaurus Award
| |
The Sprintasaurus award is given to the male and female who run a half mile section of the course (mile 6.2 to 6.7) the fastest.
You don't need to be in the lead of the race. In fact last year the winners of the award weren't the winners of the overall race. The 1/2 mile sprint is well marked. We hope you enjoy this extra course fun.

Thank you for participating in Runtastic Events. We are so excited for the 2014 running year. Our first half marathon is the Dino Half Marathon on May 3rd. Registration is only $55. The course runs down Dry Fork Canyon dropping 1,460 feet. We are sure this course will be one of your favorites.

| GENERAL RACE INFORMATION | | The temperature at the start will be around 50 degrees of beautiful mountain air. Please plan on bringing a sweatshirt that you can throw in your drop bag. The bags will be collected on a Bag Bus which will leave 10 minutes before the race starts. This means it will leave at 7:20 am. Also make sure that you connect your "Bag Tag" to your bag so you can pick it up again at the finish.
The race will be professionally timed using Chronotrack's disposable B Tags. A few things to note concerning timing. Your chip is on the backside of you bib so please wear your bib properly and for questions follow the link (bib tag instructions). Results will be posted online as well as printed. Water, oranges and bananas are being donated by Davis Food & Drug in Vernal. We ask you to support them for all your last minute needs. The road is open to vehicles. Please stay on your left hand side of the road running against traffic. |

We are still in need of a few more volunteers to help at aid stations. Volunteers will get an Event Shirt and all the goodies in the SWAG bag. If you have family or friends that can volunteer please email us at: [email protected].

| PACKET PICKUP | | | Holiday Inn Express (151 West Highway 40) Your packet will contain your bib number, safety pins, shirt, and a lot of SWAG. Each bag will have a $5 off coupon to a local restaurant. It will also have a $1 off coupon to the Dinosaur Museum which makes the museum only $5. We hope you enjoy some of the other aspects of Vernal.
The packet pickup will be held at The Holiday Inn Express from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday may 2nd. The address for this location is:

There will be a very short window for last minute packet pickup the morning of that race from 5:50 am to 6:00 am. If it is possible at all please don't put it off until the morning as things are crazier in morning. There will be NO same day registration so if you have any friends or family that are waiting till last minute tell them to sign up right now. |
| BUS SHUTTLE | | 6:00 a.m.
Parking for participants and spectators will be in the big parking lot of Maeser Elementary school. This is also where the finish will be located. The address for this location is:
2670 West 1000 North, Vernal, UT
You will find signs and volunteers directing you to the correct parking. Bus pick-up will be from the front of the school. Please arrive early as buses will only depart between 6:00 and 6:30 am. There will be no late transportation.
