Three Steps You Should Take to Start Training Now
Start training now ! Browse the list of required and recommended courses. Look for your name on the training participant list. Register for classes and access training materials.
Important Deadlines. Mark Your Calendars!
Schools, departments, and units are urged to process transactions and conduct activities in the current systems as early as possible before the deadlines outlined in the transition schedule If you have questions about the transition schedule or purchase order conversion process, please contact the business manager for your school, department, or unit.

All deadlines are at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, unless otherwise noted.

Procurement blackout (Sep. 23-Oct. 2) – Systems in inquiry status

Grants and Awards blackout (Sep. 24-Oct. 9) – System goes into inquiry status

TODAY – SEPTEMBER 26

  • Last date to process Accounts Payable invoices
  • Last date to process salary reallocations in Banner

SEPTEMBER 27

  • Last date to process payments and project activity

SEPTEMBER 28

  • Last date to submit transactions and journal entries
    (deadline, 11:59 p.m. Eastern)
  • Final payroll journal entries will be processed through Sep. 30

SEPTEMBER 30

  • Last date of legacy system processing
  • Final payroll journal entries will be processed through Sep. 30
  • Last date employees can view or print in Banner self-service
  • Last date for personnel form-related job actions in Banner
  • Last date for job actions in PeopleSoft

OCTOBER 1

  • Financial management system blackout period begins (inquiry status). Conversions will be conducted to migrate data from current systems to new systems.
  • Human resources and payroll system blackout period begins (offline). Access to systems will be limited to central administration functions conducting data migrations.

OCTOBER 3

  • RU Marketplace, new procurement system, goes live! First date to create requisitions and purchase orders in new system.

Systems Transition and Blackout Periods

During the blackout period, transactions will not be conducted in the existing systems. This is scheduled to occur from:  

  • September 23-October 2 for procurement
  • September 24-October 9 to process grants and awards
  • October 1-7 for human resources and payroll
  • October 1-9 for financial management and expense management

The transition and blackout period for human resources and payroll will not affect pay dates for employees currently on active payroll status.

There will be no interruption in access to the financial data warehouse or human resources data warehouse for reporting during this time.

From September 28 at 12:00 a.m. through September 30 at 7:00 a.m., certain student systems will be temporarily unavailable. Read this update for specific systems, dates and contacts.

Exceptions during the Transition and Blackout Periods
The volume and complexity of requests will determine which exception requests will be managed through the procedures outlined by each project team. Exception procedures are posted on Cornerstone.
