Today the U.S. House of Representatives released the long-awaited plan to replace the Affordable Care Act. The widely anticipated plan, known as the American Health Care Act (AHCA), appears less about outright 'repeal and replace', and more about altering some key provisions of the Affordable Care Act, or 'Obamacare', while preserving some of the ACA's main components such as coverage to age 26 and pre-existing conditions. The largest changes contained in the AHCA are with regards to federal funding to states for Medicaid expansion and the individual and employer tax credit structures.
