Her Grace Gandharvika has left this World
Our Friend and Previous San Diego Temple President
On May 25th, Gandharvika Dasi left her body.
She served Srila Prabhupada tirelessly her whole adult life, and now, had a glorious departure from this world. Gandharvika was surrounded by family and friends, listening to Srila Prabhupada chant, with Ganga jal and Tulasi in her mouth, and had Lord Nrsimhadeva's dhoti (from Mayapura Dham) touching her head... On her way back to Sri Sri Radha Giridhari's Lotus Feet.
Gandharvika has served ISKCON in many capacities, including as a beloved San Diego temple vice president and president. She is an exemplary Vaisnavi who has always meticulously cared for devotees, loved to share expertly prepared prasadam, and was a true spiritual leader and teacher. Please pray for her husband, young son, father, mother, siblings and
friends, who are grieving their separation from Gandharvika.

He has expertly served Sri Sri Radha-Giridhari and the devotees of San Diego for decades, and in so many capacities, including as a pujari, picnic manager, temple maintenance man, and much more. Rupa is most happy when sharing his undying love for Srila Prabhupada, ISKCON, and all Vaisnavas, and now we are able to share our deep gratitude and love for him and his wonderful family.

Memorial for Her Grace Gandharvika Dasi
NEW DATE: Sunday, July 9th, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Temple
A Festival in Honor of Gandharvika Dasi, previous San Diego Temple President and exemplary mother, wife, spiritual guide, friend, and devotee. Gandharvika left her body on May 25th in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She was San Diego Temple Vice President for 2 years and Temple President for 4 years. She also served in Dallas and Alachua. For the past 12 years, along with her husband, Mahahari Prabhu, she assisted in the development of the Buenos Aires temple community.
Gandharvika lived a glorious life of loving service, and experienced a glorious Vaisnavi departure from this world. She was surrounded by family and friends, listening to Srila Prabhupada chant, with Lord Nrsimha's dhoti (from Mayapura) touching her head, and with Ganga jal and Tulasi in her mouth... on her way back to Sri Sri Radha Giridhari's Lotus Feet.
Gandharvika is loved by so many, and has deeply touched so many hearts. Her ability to selflessly give is not of this world. She will be missed, but her transcendental legend will live on. We are fortunate to know such a great soul.

Team Govardhana - Monthly Sankirtana Festival
A fun day of book distribution, kirtan, prasadam and wonderful association!
Saturday, June 24, 2017 - 11:00 AM
to 2:00 PM
The day will begin by meeting at 11:00 AM in front of Junipero Serra High School in Tierrasanta for a sweet kirtan and a book distribution, technique orientation. The Monthly Sankirtana Festival (MSF) is a fun way to distribute books for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada. We will distribute in groups, and if you have never tried it, don't worry, you will be paired with an experienced devotee. You can watch or participate in any way you desire without any pressure. The only mandatory activity is to have fun.
Schedule
11:00 AM - Meet in front of Junipero Serra High School in Tierrasanta for kirtan and a discussion on the art of book distribution. We will sit on a tarp in the shade. Bring a folding chair if you like.
Directions After the meeting we'll drive out in groups for casual book distribution.
2:00 PM - Meet for kirtan, a discussion of our day's adventures and a prasadam lunch.

Will screen in Los Angeles on June 23-29
"Hare Krishna! The Mantra, The Movement and the Swami Who Started It All," a ninety-minute documentary film about the life and achievements of ISKCON Founder Srila Prabhupada, will start its nationwide roll-out in the U.S. this June. The documentary will receive its world premiere at Illuminate Film Festival - the largest conscious cinema festival in the world - in Sedona, Arizona on Saturday June 3rd. Children Learn Verses, Act In Plays, Have Fun

Every Sunday evening, during the Krishna-fest, the New Govardhana Krishna Kids classes take place in the classroom next to the temple. June Ekadasi Schedule
Ekadasi has been set aside for us to observe a fast to please Krishna and is a special day for devotees. Srila Prabhupada asked us to fast on Ekadasi by avoiding eating grains and beans, anything made from them or anything that has them in it. This means avoiding bread, pasta, lentils, rice, as well as beans and preparations made from bean flour.
