Site visits on 30 November 2017
An exciting and rewarding day of site visits has been planned in two streams for delegates of SA Energy Storage 2017 for Thursday 30 November 2017 as follows:
Stream 1:
Day visit to:
Eskom RT&D (Research Testing & Development)
, Rosherville, Johannesburg, to view their large battery and solar PV test and evaluation facility;
ABB South Africa Longmeadow campus
, Johannesburg, to view their operational mini-grid;
Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) campus
in Pretoria and its Energy Centre.
Stream 2:
Day visit to Eskom's newly commissioned 1333 MW (4 x 333 MW units) Ingula pumped water energy storage scheme in the escarpment of the Drakensberg range, straddling the border of the KwaZulu-Natal and Free State provinces.
