ELSA AND ME

Swedish born Brooklyn-based designer, Maja Svensson, started to experiment with fashion design in 2009 without any prior experience from the industry and later that year founded her company
In December 2011 she left her corporate job at Invest Sweden, and decided to devote herself full-time to her company.

She was going to become the passionate business woman she always dreamt of. Her aim with ELSA AND ME is to empower women to feel confident and feminine at work, and in their everyday life. Crafted with organic cotton fabric, ELSA AND ME's dresses are fit to go from 9-5 to the chic cocktail party seamlessly. The designs are elegant and geared towards business women. The dress should be useful, but also compliment the female body. The made-to-order garments flatter most off the rack, but can be customized to fit any shape. Inspiration for the clothing line is Maja's grandmother Elsa; whom with her impeccable taste, always dressed very elegant and timeless.

In collaboration with SACC-Georgia and Ladypreneur League, ELSA AND ME is arranging an event in Atlanta. On Thursday, April 24th, join us for an entrepreneurial panel discussion: "Create Your Career", followed by networking, ELSA dress fittings, sparkling and light bites.

As a member of SACC-Georgia you can attend for $10.

Why the SACC-USA Trainee Program?

Global Atlanta about the Trainee Program:

"Interacting with SACC-Georgia, we noticed that their interns
always had impeccable English skills and great personalities. We later learned that they were sourced through the J-1 program. We thought, 'Why not
put these assets to work for our own business,
furthering our goal of fostering cross-cultural understanding in the process?'
I'd recommend the trainee program because you're able to get professional quality workers at intern prices, and the chamber does the hard work of filtering for you. All that's left for the company is to pick from a pool of qualified applicants. That was extremely useful to us as a small firm.

Caroline was a wonderful addition to our team. She was bright - both intellectually and personally - and she was a fountain of new ideas that helped our company prepare for its next phase of growth. Her English was impeccable, and she was able to jump right into the wide world of international business in Atlanta -- no small feat while operating cross-culturally. Our only regret with the J-1 trainee experience is that we couldn't keep Caroline permanently. We highly recommend this program to small companies like us that need more hands on deck."
