SANIBEL PD ISSUE ALL CLEAR - SUSPECT WHO SHOT SANIBEL OFFICER IN CUSTODY
THE SUSPECT WHO EARLIER THIS EVENING SHOT A SANIBEL POLICE OFFICER HAS BEEN APPREHENDED & IS IN CUSTODY. HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN THE DUNES NEIGHBORHOOD AFTER EXCHANGING GUNFIRE WITH THE SANIBEL POLICE DEPARTMENT. THE SANIBEL DEPARTMENT HAS ISSUED AN ALL CLEAR FOR SANIBEL RESIDENTS IN THE DUNES WHO EALRIER THIS EVENING WERE ORDERED TO LOCK THEIR DOORS & STAY AWAY FROM THEIR WINDOWS.
Sanibel traffic will remain impacted as the Police Department works three separate crime scenes related to this instance.
