News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School
November 7, 2017
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,

I LOVE Saint Andrew Catholic School. I love each of your students. I pray for them daily. I also pray for each of you. We are in this journey together and it is no easy task to raise children in today's world as we put our energies into forming your students in faith, educating them to excel and encouraging them to be service-oriented leaders. In these two days, we have also dealt with very stressful incidents. In all things, the safety of your students and our faculty/staff is our top priority. As always, we will reflect upon the events and work with our Crisis Management Team to make any necessary adjustments to our protocols. I appreciate very much all of your e-mails of support throughout each incident. I would like to close this note with the refrain from the 3:00 Prayer to the Divine Mercy which we recite daily.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
Have mercy on us
And on the whole world.

Only by His Grace,
Veronica D. Tucker

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS
Please do not drop off students and leave them unattended at school before the doors open and supervision begins. The teachers arrive on campus at 7:20 am to prepare to welcome students to their classrooms at 7:30 am. This is a very important safety issue. We appreciate your help in partnering with us to keep our students safe.

HOLIDAY OUTREACH BOXES
Thank you to all our students, families, faculty, and staff for donating food items to fill boxes for our food pantry Holiday Outreach program.  These boxes will be distributed to needy families of our parish and school at Thanksgiving and Christmas time, so that they may enjoy a holiday meal.  May God bless you.

MOTHER/SON DANCE
The Mother/Son Dance this past Saturday evening was a huge success thanks to chair Megan Soyer and her husband Travis This is such a great opportunity for us to teach our boys how to be gentlemen and have a fun evening with their moms.  Thanks also to the volunteers who helped serve refreshments and the moms and sons who stayed after the dance to help clean up. We have such a  wonderful community!

IT'S NOT TOO LATE FOR YOUR ANNUAL FUND DONATION
It is not too late to turn in your Annual Fund donation!

We have an extra incentive.  All families who participate (at any amount) in the Annual Fund by Wednesday, November 15th will be eligible to win 4 tickets to the TCU versus Baylor football game on Friday, November 24th. Great seats!

ource of inspiration, prayer and reflection. The tote bag containing the statue w

SAS REMEMBERS

Each year during the month of November, the Church offers us the opportunity to remember in a special way our deceased relatives and friends.

Saint Andrew Catholic School faculty & students would like to offer prayers for the deceased loved ones of our alumni, benefactors, friends and family members. We have opened an online form for you to indicate the names of your beloved deceased. Your loved ones will remembered at Saint Andrew Catholic School Masses, during weekly adoration throughout the month of November and during morning prayers.

SAFE & SACRED
The Diocese of Fort Worth requires all adults who volunteer at our school to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check, complete Safe & Sacred (Safe Environment) training, and agree to the Code of Conduct every three years. Currently the process is done online.

If you would like to drive on a field trip, volunteer in the classroom, help at a class party, help at the Fall Festival, etc., please email  Lisa Harrington to begin the process.

We appreciate your willingness to volunteer!!
