Christmas Break: December 23 - January 7th
News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School
December 19, 2017
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,

We made it! Only 2 ½ days until our much-anticipated Christmas break! Your children have worked very hard this semester. And, I know that means Moms and Dads have also logged many hours working on end-of-quarter projects, spelling lists, math facts, midterm preparation, rough drafts and much more. Thank you for all you do every day to help your students and support Saint Andrew Catholic School. I pray you all have a relaxing, faith-filled, holy break as we celebrate the miracle of Christmas.

This is one of my favorite Christmas prayers. I hope you and your families enjoy it.

Only By His Grace,
Veronica D. Tucker

INDOOR RECESS
Per diocesan policy, we must have indoor recess if the temperature with the wind-chill is 40 degrees or below. Please send your students with coats and hats when the temperatures are low. It is always the goal of the teachers to get the kids outside to get some wiggles and energy out.

ADVENT TREE THANK YOU
A special thank you goes to Jennifer Doucet and Tara O'Keefe for chairing the Advent Tree drive this year.  Also, thank you to everyone who donated items for our Advent Tree program. Catholic Charities was very impressed!

To the faculty, students, & families of Saint Andrew Catholic School:

On behalf of the 100,000+ individuals and families served by Catholic Charities Fort Worth, I would like to thank you for your generosity and willingness to give to those in need. We greatly appreciate the support provided and please know that by the time you read this letter, every item that you collected and donated will already have gone to someone greatly in need.
Here at Catholic Charities Fort Worth, we serve everyone in need; from the homeless veteran to the single working mother to the refugee fleeing a war-torn nation. Most of the individuals and families served by Catholic Charities earn less than $17,000 a year. They are the working poor, the disabled, and those in the middle of crisis. So often, the forgotten faces of poverty are children. A donation like yours goes a long way to remind the children and their families that there are people out there who care, who want to help, and who dream of a better world. Every donation, whether it's a check worth thousands or a box of toys or even a single pair of socks goes to meet the needs of those we serve.
Although the individuals and families we serve will never be able to thank you, please know that you have helped to make a lasting and positive difference in their lives. Catholic Charities and our Staff would like to thank you for providing the Creating Hope Donation Center with the resources to say "yes" to those in need.  If you have any questions or need additional information please feel free to contact me. Thank you again for all that you have and will do!
Yours in Service,
John L Elwell
