News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School
March 28, 2017
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,

I hope that you are having a meaningful and reflective Lent. I know many of you are not able to visit campus as frequently as others so I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of the things that happen on our campus during this liturgical season. Firstly, as you drive by, you might see the purple flag. This flag flies as a sign of the season in our church. Next, our day opens with our Lenten song over the school intercom,  Jesus  by Chris Tomlin. (I encourage you to download this and sing with your children. It's beautiful!) Our morning prayers are then focused on the liturgical season ending with a Hail Mary and a Glory Be.

In our Wednesday liturgies, we are reminded of the importance of this season with Gospel reflections emphasizing sacrifice, appreciation and giving. Ms. Cekosky's 7th-grade students have made the Stations of the Cross which are displayed throughout our hallways providing students an opportunity to "walk" the path that Christ walked. Each week, the students collect a different item to donate to others in need.

In simple ways and more complex ways, your children are reminded of our mission, our focus and our purpose as followers of Christ acknowledging His tremendous sacrifice for each of us.

Only By His Grace,
Veronica Tucker

UNIFORM CODE ADDITIONS FOR 2017 - 2018
The skort will now be an option for 2nd and 3rd grade girls. The plaid jumper is still required for Mass and field trips.

In order to meet the needs of many of our families, we have decided to allow the "old jumper style" to be worn for one more school year!
LENTEN SOUP & SANDWICH
The SAS Home and School Association hosts a Lenten Soup and Sandwich each year after a Wednesday noon Mass during Lent for the parishioners of Saint Andrew Church. This year we are hosting on Wednesday, March 29th. We have a reputation of always being one of the best during the Lenten Season!  So, we are in need of delicious sandwiches, soups in crock pots and volunteers to setup or help serve.

Please click here to sign up.

Thank you for your help in making this Lenten lunch special for the Saint Andrew parishioners.

April 3rd-7th: Bring one item of clothing to donate to Catholic Charities
